February on Instagram

february

The dreary, final month of winter has finally passed. I must say, I am well and truly over this gloomy season. The last 29 days have been cold, grey and incredibly windy. Thankfully though, the signs of spring are finally starting to show and it gives me hope that sunshine and warm days will soon be upon us. This month, I’ve spent far too much time indoors, procrastinating and feeling completely unmotivated. I think this mood is reflected in my Instagram photos, or lack thereof. Too much time has been spent curled up on the couch watching series instead of being out and about exploring and taking photos (speaking of series, do you have any recommendations? I’m running low on things to watch and for the most part French TV is terrible!). This spring I’m looking forward to some big changes. I’m not sure exactly what these will be yet, perhaps a change of job or apartment. I’ll have to wait and see.

Tell me readers, how was your February and what have you got planned for spring?

Ugh! My February was about like yours and I’m still sitting here with the wind howling down the chimney and the rain slapping on the windows. Fed up!! Making Southern Fried Chicken and Salsa for dinner. That might help.

Series wise: if you like cop shows I recommend Engrenages, which you can watch in French only or with English subtitles (called Spiral in English). Set in Paris. Just about as gritty and urban as you can get. Good characters, good actors.

Susan, Southern Fried Chicken sounds amazing! You’ll have to share your recipe. I don’t mind a good cop show, I’ll give that one a go! Thanks!
