Whilst florals are a well-known spring trademark, I don’t feel they should be restricted uniquely to this season or the warmer months of the year. I personally love floral prints year-round. In autumn and winter, the tones in the print darken and take on a much more dramatic, moody feel than their springtime comparisons. It’s a look I love, particularly when teamed with boots and a leather jacket. It’s casual enough to wear to work or running errands, but can be dressed up with a bit of lippy to take you right though to evening drinks. It’s clear that winter florals have become a fundamental staple in my wardrobe.
In a couple of days’ time, my husband and I take off for a whirlwind adventure in Japan. We plan on spending a week in Kyoto, then three weeks in Australia. Whilst I can’t wait for our holiday to begin, I find myself already stressing about what to pack. It’ll be winter time in Japan and summer in Australia. Packing for a month is difficult enough without having to pack for two seasons. Floral dresses are great because they tend to be quite light and take up very little room in your suitcase, and as I discussed above, they are incredibly versatile. I’ve been doing a bit a research and found so many beautiful floral pieces that will be perfect for japan and that I may even be able to wear in Australia when it cools at night.
As of yet, I haven’t actually bought any of these outfits. I love hearing your comments and feedback so I figure I’ll share with you my options and you can tell me your favs. So, without further ado, here are my top picks.
