As a blogger, I’m often invited to various events. Sometimes it’s a casual brunch organised by a brand, other times it’s a themed trip away or DIY workshop. I still pinch myself every time I receive such invite. I really can’t believe I get to do this for a living.
When Ecusson contacted me to assist in their very Spring themed day, I jumped at the chance. Not only did I get to attend, I also got to invite 2 guests from my community. The event sounded wonderful and included a cruise along the seine, a floral workshop and an evening concert, all while sipping on Ecusson Rosé Cidre. Perfection, right?
The day started at Cité de la Mode et du Design, where I met my guests as well as approximately 20 other very stylish bloggers and Instagrammers. We split into two groups and boarded cosy, little boats which were of course, filled with Ecusson cider. The sun shone bright and we spent the early afternoon cruising along the seine taking in breathtaking views of Paris.
From the boat, I spotted the most beautiful picnic setting on the edge of the Seine. Filled with large pillows, throws, vintage furniture, and wooden crates filled with Ecusson Cherry Cider, it was the most stunning picnic setup I’ve ever seen. To my surprise that was our next destination.
We spent the next few hours, learning how to make our own cactus terrariums, creating bouquets of fresh spring flowers that we used to decorate the overhanging tree, and listening to an enchanting acoustic performance by Juniore.
When I thought the afternoon couldn’t get any better, the food arrived. Rows of vegan hotdogs, chickpea burgers, refreshing ceviche and vibrant gazpacho adored the wooden table. Each tucked away in cute brown cardboard packages or decorated with edible flowers. The picnic was truly perfection.
We finished the night with happy tummies, full of delicious food and Ecusson Rosé Cidre. I’m so thankful to Ecusson for inviting me and the 2 guests from my Instagram community. It was a truly memorable day and I think I’ll be dreaming of those delicious vegan hotdogs and cider cocktails for a long time to come.
