The Ultimate Revitalising Smoothie Recipe

I’m a firm believer in eating fresh, seasonal ingredients. They taste better, it’s better for the environment, and it’s less expensive. However, I must be honest and admit that I’m well and truly sick of winter fruits. They’re so boring and leave me feeling really uninspired. If you read my last food post, you would know that I’m trying to be a little healthier this year. And well, I can’t exactly make healthy smoothies and juices if I rely on this season’s limited fruits. I decided visit the frozen fruit section at my local health food store and I stocked up on all sorts of different berries as well as rockmelon, and I found a couple of dragon fruits at my local supermarket. Sure, the melon was less flavorsome than usual, but combined with some fresh ginger, raspberries and passionfruit, it ended up being one very tasty smoothie. I can’t wait to make this recipe again in summertime!
